Prepping Stems For Mixing

• Create a folder including the Artist name / Song Title / BPM

• Include a full bounce of the project labelled “Rough Mix”
  

• Rename tracks to keep stem names short (Kick, Snare, Perc loop, synth pad, etc) 
  

• When exporting stems label the bounce with your initials (OB, AW, SC, etc) no need to include song name.

  
  

• Please avoid long names such as (Grim Phandango - Jupiter 4-SLK_HAER_synth_loop_sad_horns_70_Db)

  Keep it short (GP - Synth Horns)

  
  

• Turn off all time based effects (delay/ reverb) on vocals unless it’s a desired effect. It can always be added after.

  
  

• Turn off any compression/ exciter plugins.

• If you’re using autotune, provide 2 versions, one with and one without.
